The workflow difference matters more than the feature list
SpicyBox reduces the number of decisions before a render. The Explore page presents visual treatments, including trending and newly added options. The user selects a look, supplies a compatible photo, and waits for the result. This is useful when speed matters more than precise art direction.
Promptchan starts closer to a creator workspace. Its official create page describes text-to-image, several art styles, negative prompting, pose and composition controls, gallery cloning, remixing, upscaling, and video generation. That breadth makes it better for constructing a character or scene from scratch, but it also creates more settings to evaluate.

Upload rules and consent

Its current Terms say the user affirms that they are the person depicted in every uploaded image and must not upload another individual for AI processing. A partner’s permission does not rewrite that published rule. Public availability does not make a creator or celebrity photo eligible either.
That restriction gives SpicyBox a narrow, understandable consent boundary: self-image only. It also means the service is not suitable for animating fictional reference photos sourced elsewhere, couple photos, or real-person likeness experiments.
Promptchan offers generation from text and its own gallery, so many workflows do not require a real-person upload at all. That can reduce identity exposure when the goal is a fictional adult character. If you do upload an image, read the current terms and privacy policy at the point of use; do not assume one platform’s rules apply to another.
Creative control and repeatability
Templates are efficient because they package motion, framing, and style into one choice. The tradeoff is that the source photo must fit the template. A close portrait may not work well with a full-body movement, while a poorly lit photo can make face stability harder.

Promptchan says paid plans can keep generations out of the public gallery. “Private generation” should not be confused with zero data processing. Confirm what private means, who can access outputs, how long source files persist, and whether model-improvement use is optional.
Credits and real cost
Compare a complete task, not the cheapest advertised plan. A realistic task might include one source image, three image attempts, two short video attempts, and one upscale or export. Record the total credits consumed and whether failed generations are refundable.
